My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to do so with some compassion, some humors, and some style.
Maya Angelou
Far too often I’m working very hard at getting through the day. Without a tragedy. Without a breakdown or meltdown. Without losing a piece of myself that I need in order to feel great about myself.
I fail- a lot. Somethings it’s right in front of the world and other times it’s so behind the scenes and close to the vest that you would never know.
At time though; usually around loved ones and folks I have an affinity for my sense of humor gets to be center stage. I appreciate those light hearted moments so much that I would love to do a short stand up set. I hope to make everyone laugh the way my youngest nephews do when I start talkin my talk.
Yes, I must survive the moment. Ms. Angelou’s statement resonates because as much as it’s about getting through the day; the way it’s done means something as well…
